Trauma Informed Care (Option 1)

This PowerPoint is a 2 hour presentation examining the long term impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on both health and behaviour.

The aim is to 'show not tell' the audience how the brain, of a person with past trauma, reacts to perceived threat, through the use of creative writing. It is believed that through describing the feelings created, the audience will have a greater understanding and empathy to respond to a patient's needs.

Simple steps that an be taken to support such patients are also examined.

Please note that the descriptive task at the start of the presentation is the same as the one used in the presentation 'A Journey into Mental Illness'.

If this presentation has already been used or there are plans to use, then use 'Trauma Informed Care (Option 2).
