Panel Discussion on new models of care and the future of the NHS - a must watch

‘One of the best panel discussions I have ever seen...’

That was the verdict of one of the audience as they left the IHM discussion at the King’s Fund, chaired by Roy Lilley, on new models of care and the future of the NHS.

The star studded panel consisted of Ed Smith, former chair of NHSI; Sam Jones who has just stood-down from leading the NHSE new models of care Team;  Rhian Vadrille, lawyer from event sponsors Mills and Reeve, and lead on the Dudley super-contract; and GP Virginia Patania, with CCG lead responsibilities on emergency care.

See extracts from the hour and a half’s discussion, row, challenges, arguments and more than a few laughs.

As Roy says; ‘When you get a group of experts like this, who are prepared to talk freely and really get stuck into the issues, you get panel-magic.  You just light the blue touch paper, step back and watch the fireworks!

This is a cuppa-builders and packet of Hobnobs watch!’
