The Keeping in Touch team have been connecting patients to loved ones for 5 months now and in that time we have connected over 1400 calls to 17 different countries.

In April West Suffolk Hospital refurbished 28 iPads and purchased 28 stands on wheels so each ward in the hospital had access to one. A booking system was set up on the hospital web page so relatives and friends of any patient can request a video call.

The calls are connected 7 days a week and during the week we are open until 8pm.
