Integrated care - the fundamental role of nurses

Nurses have a fundamental role to play in the development of integrated care systems and we want to celebrate how the profession is already making a fantastic contribution to transforming care for the benefit of local communities.

We also want to highlight the leadership and development opportunities for nurses in looking at how care can be improved in partnership with other healthcare partners.

Our latest video features nurses discussing what integrated care means to them and the contribution they are making to their integrated care system or sustainability and transformation partnership (STP).

We also have a blog from Carol Anderson, Chief Nursing Officer on the Mid & South Essex STP Joint Committee, explains how the STP has revolutionised its patient engagement by introducing dedicated ‘patient partners’ who offer focused support to each of its transformation programmes.
