Improving employee engagement and experience with innovative project

A team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been shortlisted for a national award for employee engagement and experience.

The organisational development team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has been shortlisted for a Distinction in Employee Engagement and Experience in the annual HR Distinction Awards.

The team has been shortlisted for their creation of a 24 hours series which documents different teams across the hospitals and gives an insight into the people who do such an amazing job delivering excellent care with compassion.

The team has now created two series in maternity and theatres which have been incredibly popular and successful; and they are now in the process of taking applications in for series three.

Fiona Yates, Head of Engagement, Recognition and Retention at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, said: “We are so pleased to be shortlisted for this award. We tried to create an innovative and interesting series of films which celebrate the people behind the care and show the sense of team we have here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. We wanted to showcase what makes our people special and really capture their personalities. Both 24 hours in maternity and theatres are being watched here in Preston and Chorley as well as around the world. To be recognised at these awards gives us the opportunity to keep getting these films out to more people and keep showcasing our staff. Watch out for series three which we are currently accepting applications for and is sure to be another fantastic series.”

Winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony tonight at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
