Falls 'Grab Bag'

Falls 'Grab Bag' featured image
The Lead Nurse for Falls at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is about to launch a visually compelling 'Falls Grab Bag' across wards, inspired by the 'Sepsis Grab Bag' that has been so succesful within the hospital.

If a patient falls, staff can get the grab bag which contains the laminated Falls proforma, slide sheets and gloves, swabs, pocket tape, non-slip socks and laminated Falls signs to display and a pen torch.

Contents of the bag were agreed following consultation with ward staff, and Joanne Lewis-Hodgkinson, Falls Lead, is aiming to tie this in to #FabChangeDay, and roll it out across the hospital.

Ward Falls Champions will be responsible for ensuring that the bags are replenished. Contact Joanne at [email protected]  @joanneHodgkin
