It’s hard to believe we launched two years ago today, and it’s fair to say you have made the last twenty four months absolutely fabulous.
With nearly 2000 amazing shares of great stuff that works and well over one million page views you've had a busy two years.
You have commented on posts, voted in our awards process, implemented ideas and service innovations you've found on the website, visited sharers to see their work in action, volunteered to be FabAmbassadors and supported FabChangeDay with many of you have attending our annual award celebrations.
FabNHSStuff is your social community, sharing great stuff , solutions to common problems that work; all to make more great stuff happen.
Based on the change theory Positive Deviance you've made FabNHSStuff a social movement; showing that working together, learning from each other and being proud about the great stuff you do everyday is the future. By doing this you've made FabNHSStuff the leading, free repository of fab ideas that work – how great is that?
Last week Jeremy Hunt was right to say that some hospitals are doing very well and that we need to learn from them.
Well that's exactly what you are doing.
In our collaboration with the ECIST Network we have examples of how individual hospitals are finding solutions to flow, exploring not only emergency department solutions but the issues of delayed discharge and the stranded patient.
Discharge to assess, home first, the last 1000 days and red to green have become bye words on the website for a mindset of practical solutions.
You can find the entire collection of ECIST solutions https://fabnhsstuff.net/ecist-home/ .
The SoS is right, sharing and learning from others is essential for the NHS and Social Care to ensure that we meet the daily challenges but also so that in the medium term we transform the services we provide to ensure they meet the needs of the communities we serve.
In the last two years you have changed the landscape of sharing within the NHS.
Over the course of the next year, with your help, we are going to focus on spread; making it easier to share and even more accessible.
Continue to be proud of what you do and enjoy your Valentine Birthday
Thank you for your support, collaboration and enthusiasm.
