The HCOP wards at ULHT are competing in the deconditioning games by participating in the tour de east of England with other trusts from the east of England.
This will be 5 teams from Scampton, Clayton, Lancaster, 6A and 6B clocking up miles by cycling, running, swimming, dancing, walking and encouraging their patients to do the same. The miles will then be added together and submitted to see how we get on against other trusts.
We are just heading into week 2 and already the wards have come up with some fantastic ideas, Scampton ward have drawn out an Olympic style track with half way point for our patients to clock up their steps and the wards have purchased some static pedals for patients to cycle.
