Why are we as a nation still struggling to support breast feeding?
Breastfeeding is one of the most efficient and cost effective interventions in healthcare*
Yet in today’s world of evidenced based practice, CQUINs and QI why are we not investing appropriately in supporting mothers to breast feed their babies?
We firmly believe that breast milk is the best start to a baby’s life. The best start to breast feeding is COLOSTRUM.
Colostrum is like your baby’s first immunisation Each and #EveryDropCounts
We pledge to:
• Support women to breast feed their babies
• Focus positively on the ‘first few drops of colostrum’ together
• Promote early use of Colostrum
• Create awareness and acknowledge that women can, at times, feel pressured to breast feed. We need to find ways to support them better.
It is our job to make #everydropcount
