Celebrating our pharmacy technicians

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating the work of its pharmacy technicians as part of a national campaign.


Pharmacy technicians work with pharmacists to supply medicines to patients and ensure medicines are ready for prescriptions. This includes anything from taking drug histories, dispensing prescriptions, counselling patients and labelling medication ready for patients to take home with the

To celebrate, pharmacy technicians across both Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley District Hospital are showcasing their work around the hospitals and celebrating their teams.


Donna Bartlett, Dispensary Team Leader at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, said: “Today is a celebration for all of our pharmacy technicians to celebrate all of the great work that we do and our essential role in healthcare provision.”
