An MSK practitioner is working within the community and where appropriate, patients are offered the choice of an appointment with a GP or with the specialist MSK practitioner.
This aims to increase capacity in general practice and help patients see the most appropriate professional sooner.
183 patients have already accessed the service which has achieved a 100 percent satisfaction rate.
Many of these patients have not required any further intervention following advice on medication or exercise.
The vanguard will continue to evaluate the outcomes from this service with a view to wider implementation across its local area..
