What is the Workforce Wizards campaign?
The Workforce Wizards campaign aims to share and celebrate workforce best practice examples, great ideas and service solutions across health and social care. By sharing best practice with colleagues through Workforce Wizards, we can help others to meet the needs of our patients, service users, and the workforce.
Who leads on this?
The Workforce Wizards campaign will be led across the South East of England by NHS England and Improvement South East Director of Workforce and OD, Caroline Beardall, and Health Education England South East Joint Regional Director, Philippa Spicer. Terri Porrett at The Academy of Fab Stuff will make it all happen by utilising their social media accounts and website, all of which have an impressive engagement reach nationally.
Why should I get involved?
The key enabler for delivering the NHS Long Term Plan is our workforce, and the focus is captured by the Interim People Plan to focus efforts on achieving this. The NHS needs more staff, different roles, retain those who make a contribution today, and set the tone and offer for those who will come and join our service in the future. Our efforts must be inclusive, nurturing, flexible and achievable for staff so we can deliver the best place to work and the best care for our population. By collaborating and sharing best practice that has impacted our workforce through Workforce Wizards, we can celebrate successes, as well as share what has worked, for the benefit of others.
