In order to promote cultures of kindness in the workplace, it is vital to share and acknowledge evidence based research and ignite new practices which support staff in the workplace.
Staff can experience both occupational and organisational sources of work-related psychological distress.
As the well being of staff directly correlates to the safety and quality of patient care, it will be important to meet the needs of NHS staff with effective and evidence based support.
The academic midwife is on a mission to share research and evidence which may support health care leaders and all of us to create a thriving NHS workforce. The academic midwife is also on a mission to encourage health care staff to join the academic community, explore and generate new evidence to support excellence in our health care services.
Through a dedicated science based Facebook page, health care research is shared among both the academic and health care communities.
Users are also encouraged to write and produce their own academic work and contribute towards healthy workplaces and compassionate cultures in which health care leadership breeds a thriving workforce and and quality service.
It is the hope of this venture to galvanise healthier staff for healthier patients and excellence in the health care services (Focused largely on maternity services). https://www.facebook.com/TheAcademicMidwife
