About Performing Medicine
Performing Medicine exists to support health professionals to provide
high-quality, compassionate care. We pursue this mission through arts-based
training and courses, research, advocacy and public events. Through practical
exercises and lateral-learning techniques, we nurture the flexibility,
adaptability and responsiveness required to thrive within demanding healthcare
environments.
Performing Medicine has been
cited as an example of best practice in the 2017 report from the All-Party
Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing. We have also been awarded
the Times Higher Award for Excellence and Innovation and have been written
about widely, including in The Guardian, The Lancet and The Telegraph.
Performing Medicine is a Clod
Ensemble initiative founded by Suzy Willson and run by a small, dynamic team.
Our unique approach is delivered by a group of trailblazing artists who use
ideas and techniques from the performing and visual arts.
