Dr Samantha Mills is an Emergency Medicine doctor with a passion for positive disruption to create inclusive, enabled environments. Originally trained an expert witness in Forensic Science for the Home office, she has more than two decades of leadership experience. Working in the private sector for PepsiCo International, including in European R&D, she was awarded a European Diversity Award, prior to retraining as a doctor. Teaching Leadership and Management is a passion, working as an active member of the Health Education East Midlands Faculty of Leadership and Management, teaching for the last seven years, as well as running her own leadership education business.
Sam is
currently undertaking her Executive Healthcare MBA at Nottingham University. Passionate
for real life equity activism, Sam is currently working to support people with D/deafness with the impacts of the covid pandemic. For which she was awarded
Patient Experience Champion of the Year at her Trust in 2021. Sam is currently
leading the evaluation of the use of transparent facemasks in the NHS to
understand the benefits, particularly for colleagues and patients with disabilities.
