I’m Gareth Jones, I’ve been in the NHS since 2001 working mainly in Clinical Coding departments of 2 acute hospital trusts.

In my current role as a Clinical Coding Improvement Manager at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, my day to day is about engaging with colleagues (clinical & non-clinical) across my organisation to educate them about the value of clinically coded data & its ability to inform service improvement, be it process redesign, clinical research or patient safety improvement programmes.

As a keen networker (I spend far too much time on Twitter & LinkedIn), I have been able to extend my platform for engaging with NHS colleagues across the country, I have presented at a number of NHS Future Focused Finance events & have been recognised by them as a FACE (Finance & Clinical Educator), I’m also a Flex NHS ambassador & now finally a Fab Ambassador!
