I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist working in Mid Wales, with Parkinson’s patients. This is a community based service as Powys has not Secondary care in house. Patients are managed cross site with secondary and tertiary care providers. I am an independent prescriber and a qualified District Nurse. I am at present in the second year of a 3 yr. part time post grad MSc Health Science Leadership course. I have also completed a National leadership course with the Queen’s Nurse Institute. This was the first of its kind to be hosted nationally.
