Why? My pledge was to make staff become ‘BLONDE’: Big people up; Little things matter; Opportunity to share; Never underestimate the power of sharing; Determination; Energy for others to join.

There is more and more pressure on the NHS leaving frontline staff with low morale.

I wanted frontline staff to understand the positivity by sharing the fab work/ changes will have on them and their team.

Happy staff = happy patients.

How?:

* Attended first fab ambassador meeting in London in June 17

*Sought out hospital staff on social media who had the same energy and passion for change as I

* Regular discussions with communications and staff engagement leads about The Academy of Fab Stuff

* Face to face meetings with frontline staff and shared their stories with the Academy of Fab Stuff

* Regular slots with the fab pop up banner at the main entrance of the hospital engaging with staff and patients alike

What? I began the BLONDE journey on my own in June. In November, a fab underground has grown and we have 5 members who are spreading the word about how easy it is to be FAB.

The fab underground have the same energy and passion for change meeting on a regular basis.

Through sharing some staff’s fab work, there is a growing number of staff who understand the ethos of the Academy of Fab Stuff

PLEASE NOTE THIS JOURNEY IS NOT COMPLETE... WILL KEEP THIS PLEDGE RUNNING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TILL NEXT FAB CHANGE WEEK 2018! Thank you
