We were really struggling to get people in the team to attend ward meetings, only a few could attend no matter what day or time we held them on the ward.
So I thought it would be great if we could all meet up virtually from the comfort of our homes via social media.
I set up a private Facebook ward group and invited every member of the team and set a date and time for our virtual meeting. 75% of the team were about to attend, we shared important information and we all really enjoyed everyone joining in and contributing to the discussion.
People who were unable to attend were also able to access the information afterwards if they were busy at the time of the meeting.
We have continued to do this every month as feedback from all the team has been really positive and communication between the team has really improved.
