I am often blown away by what is available on the internet to make me a better practitioner, and for those that don’t take advantage of all it has to offer, well I hope I can convert you!
It has taken me far too long to discover the massive learning and sharing resource that is social media. Sure, I have had a Twitter and Facebook accounts for some years now and used the latter quite regularly, but only for exchanging ‘chit-chat’. Then I had a moment of enlightenment when I discovered Twitter. Once I grasped the ideas behind Twitter I found myself becoming engrossed in the stream of information coming my way.
I have developed a resource for critical and emergency care practitioners and anyone else involved in the care of this type of patient http://www.jonathandownham.com/
My objective with this site and the other resources connected with it is to help myself and therefore others to become better practitioners.
I also want us all to connect and engage with one another to help us move our professions forward and improve patient care!
I have produced a series of podcasts to engage and promote discussion
