Its 50 pages contain a summary of the aspirations of the Vanguard programme which are essentially to develop a new blueprint for future NHS and Care Services.
An easy to read map identifies each geographical Vanguard site - check out the map for your local Vanguard project and make it your business to get to know them and the work they are doing.
Each Vanguard project, from the 5 project areas, are individually described.
Its early days but it has to be said that 'aspirational' is the current state of affairs - 'will develop new care pathways', 'focus on preventing ill health', 'the vision is' and 'innovative workforce solutions' are recurring themes throughout the document.
There are some Vanguard sites that are already delivering rather than describing new care and these are great to read about.
It was encouraging to read about the key areas of support each Vanguard site is receiving to enable them to tear up the rule book and start again - with the Workforce redesign and Harnessing technology seeming to be absolutely key in getting this right.
Like you, I'm anxious and keen to read about 'the how' rather than the 'will do', but we have to be patient (not a natural Blonde attribute) because the scale of the developments and changes many of these Vanguard sites are undertaking is huge.
