Successful flu vaccination for Doctors

Weston General Hospital has achieved 75.7% vaccination of Doctors this winter. Traditionally Doctors have been one of the lower percentage vaccinated groups in our hospital.

For this years flu vaccination programme we concentrated our efforts almost exclusively on local vaccination opportunities as opposed to clinic based programmes.

The most successful intervention has been local vaccinators in the Outpatient Department. This is one area where most medical teams are present at some point in their schedule. The Doctors themselves have applauded this initiative as it fits well in their busy schedules.
