A Speed Dating event was held between Senior Consultants from Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS FT and Primary Care GPs in late 2016 to drive engagement on a wide variety of issues affecting both partners.
20 GPs and 20 Consultants from a variety of specialities spent 5 minutes with each other over a rapid few hours to highlight their key issues and to "reconnect" with each other.
This was a massively successful and simple event.
GPs and Consultants alike loved it.
Old relationships were rekindled, new ones made and there was a commitment to common clinical agendas that have begun to form part of how the Trust and Primary Care can work closer together in the best interest of patients.
As a result managers and clinicians can use the outputs form the event to plan sensibly together and with commitment for local NHS improvements.
Well over 100 ideas were generated in a short space of time
We will be dating again soon!
