This is a movement we are creating around actively encouraging family members to become involved in their loved ones care.
This involves abolishing visiting times and encouraging staff to work with family to provide a more patient centred level of care.
During Fab Change Week 2017, Ward 11 at Princess Royal embraced this work, led by ward manager Lisa Butler.
Family members have been able to visit loved ones throughout the day and have been seen helping with mealtimes, washes, drinks and taking patients to the toilet as well as having great input into ward rounds and care planning and discharge planning
