The wards receive bereavement survey feed back from the audit teams in a formal monthly report but I felt that we needed to highlight embrace and share excellent practice feed back by developing certificates which record the feed back and are hand delivered to the ward.
The response from the staff has been positive and supports this change concept The certificates are then shared with the team and placed on staff notice boards .
The clinical staff are under pressure every day and we need to praise and encourage them to continue doing exactly what they are doing on a day to day basis and that is providing excellent patient care
I have developed certificates for individual staff members so that this can become part of their portfolio and be considered at the point of revalidation
