My name is Donna Phillips and I am the clinical team lead on Scotter Ward at Lincolnshire Community Health Services. As a ward we signed up to Johns Campaign last year.
Johns Campaign ensures that carers of people living with dementia have enhanced or open visiting when they are in hospital. This ensures that the person with dementia has contact with their carers and they can work in partnership with the hospital staff to aid an informed stay and speedy recovery and discharge.
My pledge for fab change week was to become an ambassador for Johns Campaign. I proposed this to Julia the founder of the scheme and was accepted.
I wrote a biography for the site and submitted this for the site where it was published.
I was also invited to write a blog about the All About Me booklet for the site and did so and had it published.
I actively promote Johns Campaign on my social media site on Twitter and promote it at team and trust meetings.
A successful pledge outcome......I am very proud now to call myself a Johns Campaign Ambassador.
