2015-03-28_55167600ed3c9_image.jpgImagine my utter shock and surprise when, back in November 2014 ,I received a letter inviting me to accept the honour bestowed on me in the Queens New Years honours list of Officer of the most excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to School Nursing.

Honoured and humbled I attended my investiture at Buckingham Palace earlier this week where I received my award from HRH Prince Charles.

My work in School Nursing is a privilege. Leading the School and Public Health Nurses Association:SAPHNA affords me the opportunity to represent the most amazing committed workforce continuously striving to improve health outcomes for children and young people.

I accepted my OBE for all of you
