Rotational Apprenticeship schemes across health and social care

The Health Education England working across Kent, Surrey and Sussex (HEE KSS) career progression programme piloted health and social care rotational apprenticeship programmes in West Sussex and Kent which aimed to improve education, training and development opportunities available to those aspiring to or working in health and social care.

They had placements in an acute/community NHS environment and residential care home/learning disability centre providing them opportunity to gain experience in different settings, develop transferable skills and learn about different approaches to caregiving.

These apprentices were funded by ourselves and employed by the National Skills Academy for Health’s Apprenticeship Agency.

There is a case study available on the West Sussex programme.
