QR BaR

The QR BaR was implemented in our Emergency department at Queens Hospital Burton.

As a clinical educator I wanted staff to have rapid access to policies /guidelines and learning tools without having to search the internet or find a spare computer , which can often be a challenge in a busy ED.

The codes can be easily scanned and are situated outside of our resus area , easily accessible for all staff . The links go directly to the information needed without being time consuming.

We have had an excellent response from staff who were asked which guidelines /polices they would find beneficial to have coded in the first instance.

Staff are encouraged to add any codes to the board that will be beneficial for patient safety or staff education.

This is in the early stages for us and we hope to build on and expand across the hospital .
