OPENESS: When I am carryout spot-checks, I will ensure I put everyone at ease with smiles and being considerate. The positive outcome of this is that staffs are engaging and are comfortable to open up about their work environment. This means we are able to resolve any issues and continually improve our services.
SHARED LEARNING: Every time I investigate an IG breach, I want to fight against any blame culture that exists by calling the staff member to put them at ease and understand the situation. The positive outcome of this is that staffs are motivated to overcome the incident and have meaningful learning and are comfortable to share learning with their team.
FEELING VALUED AND A PART OF SOMETHING GREAT: Where I see good work that has benefited me whether that’s cleaning to reading a nice article on our InTouch, rather than keeping that in, I will tell my fellow colleague how they have positively impacted me because they deserve to know that. That includes staff that I work with on a daily basis like my wonderful manager and IG partner!
