Pledge: 'I pledge to increase involvement in quality improvement'.

Action taken: Fab Change Week has been an excellent opportunity to launch our Improvement Partnership, which is our method of engaging, involving and developing our staff, so they are supported and motivated to make the changes for the benefit of our patients, staff and wider community.

We have developed a best practice approach for project management and learning & development sessions for ‘Leading Projects’ & ‘Leading Change’.

120 of our staff have attended one of these sessions, giving 100% positive feedback.

Our newsletter (Improvement Movement) was launched during Fab Change Week and shares insight and learning from our quality improvement projects in a fun and engaging way.

A multi-disciplinary change team are working in collaboration with NHSI to implement a cultural toolkit, which currently undertaking diagnostics work including staff members interviewing executive directors and non-executive directors about the culture here at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust (PAHT).

This work will provide insight and direction to our quality improvement work as well as supporting our journey to enhance the culture in hospital as a whole.

The Improvement Partnership will be our legacy following this year's Fab Change Week.
