Nutrition and Hydration

Our nutrition and hydration steering group have collaborated to refresh the meal time observation audit tool and are now carrying out fortnightly independent audits in order to ensure a consistent meal service delivering hot, nutritious food to adult inpatients. 

This work has brought together members of the multi-disciplinary team, catering, patient experience and practice education in a joint venture. 

We have worked with the audit team who collate the results centrally and distribute feedback to the ward sisters. 

We are using a QR code to gain patient feedback about the quality of the food and menu options.
