The team at Grantham Hospital outpatients department wanted to introduce a calm garden space for staff and patients.
Fundraising started a few months ago with a tombola, name the Gnome and a cake stall on the NHS 70th birthday. Work has started cleaning up a neglected courtyard within the department. From the fundraising so far, they have been able to purchase a table and bench.
The team have also received very kind donations of plants from local businesses. The search for more garden pots and plants continues and a call for any books to sell on their secondhand book stall to raise even more money is underway.
