New Cards proving a good call for Community Midwives

Problem The community maternity team were writing their details on scraps of paper to post through patient’s doors when appointments were missed.

Impact The scraps of paper didn’t look professional and were a poor representation of NUH. The bits of paper were easy to lose. The process of finding scraps of paper could be time consuming.

Idea The team had the idea to implement calling cards for missed appointments.

Benefits The ‘sorry I missed you’ cards look professional, have the NUH logo and branding, and are a better representation of the Trust. With is a dedicated space for all necessary details nothing is missed and they are easier for patients to keep hold of. Nicola Brennan, Maternity support worker.
