On Ward 2 at Grantham Hospital,#UltimateULHT we were not consistently passing our quarterly controlled drug audit due to staff not writing in the precise name of the controlled drug.
So another lightbulb moment…….. we though what could be do? It was quite simple, we needed to have self inking stamps for each medication.
The team spoke to pharmacy to get the correct medication titles of what needed to be in our CD register. We the sourced the stamps
Hey presto, problem solved.
The CD register title pages are now stamped now with the correct controlled drug name. We are now passing CD audits :)
