Problem

When patients in the Children’s Hospital need extra attention from play specialists this needs to be communicated to all staff.

Impact

There needed to be a quick, simple and child-friendly way to communicate this to staff.

Children can feel anxious on the ward.

Idea

To produce stickers for patients and stamps for patient’s notes to indicate to staff that the patient has seen a play specialist.

Benefits

The stickers put children at ease and are bright, colourful and fun. The stickers and the stamps for patients’ notes are a quick, simple and child-friendly way  to communicate specific information between staff.
