#JustDoIt - A refreshing change for Bonington Ward

Problem

The water supply on Bonington ward was out of reach for patients.

Impact

Patients were always fully hydrated but an estimated 90 minutes of staff time each day was used travelling to the kitchen and back each day to replenish fresh water for patients.

Idea

To invest in a new water cooler accessible to both staff and patients.

Benefits

Staff time taken to replenish patients’ water has reduced from 90 minutes to 18 minutes a day so more time can be given to caring.
