In 2017 we engaged in quality improvement projects and implemented a leader leader model and achieved:
Supervision from 36% - 100%
Medication omissions from 34% to 0%
Recruitment of 5 nurses & fully recruited HCA establishment
An open door policy
Reduced level of harm within incidents and increased reporting
Implemented training development programmes for all bands
Reduced sickness from 12% to 0%
Feedback Fridays, away days, risk huddles, transparent performance boards.
Our ward manager and matron do a shift in numbers a week. We are about to launch our carers strategy created with carers.
