Health and Wellbeing Women's Ages Group

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Lorraine Coleman - Sports Fitness and Wellbeing Instructor, Arnold Lodge

What I changed:

The women's ages group (social group for the over 45s). They used to watch a film and have unhealthy food and snacks. This has been changed to a fun and active social group that encourages health and wellbeing.

How it benefited service users and / or staff:

By introducing fun activities for example cheerleading, treasure hunts, outside in the fresh air and problems solving puzzles with healthy fruit snacks.

Why I am proud of it:

Patients get to interact positively with their peers in an active and fun way, helping to encourage physical activity and healthy eating to enhance their mental health and wellbeing.
