The Trust was also recently announced as one of the 8 Urgent and Emergency care vanguard sites by NHS England. The vanguards will test the models set out in the Urgent and Emergency Care Review and transform unscheduled care across large areas of England.
Told by a combination of staff from those working on the frontline as well as senior management, the film demonstrates the changes that were made to improve patient flow and care at King George and Queen’s hospital in Romford.
Embedding the improvements to daily working meant that the Trust achieved the national 4-hour target for the first time in four year in July 2015.
Tackling the problem required a whole organisation/system approach and joint partnership working with external stakeholders. The Trust needed a short film to tell their story to educate, inform and inspire their stakeholders. They asked Larchmont films because of our knowledge of the NHS, passion for inspiring best practice and skill in film-making. You can watch the film here
