The cardholder or carer of the cardholder would add their information to their profile at www.eiocard.com. The information they choose to put in your profile can be accessed instantly and simply by holding an NFC enabled smartphone against the card and your information will appear on the phone screen.In case the first responders phone is not NFC enabled, we have included a QR code, which also allows access to their profile. The information you may add includes medical conditions, allergies, prescription medications, emergency contact details amongst others, information which can rapidly speed up access to the correct medical treatment.

The card was designed following a close family members stay in hospital. Watching one emergency admission after another unable to answer basic questions, such as next of kin details and medicines, gave us the idea that technology could help. By storing their details in a database that could be easily accessed by a card with an NFC chip and a smartphone, we felt we could help ease the distress many patients went through and so EIO Technologies was born!
For as many people as possible to benefit from our medical smart card, we decided to keep the cost low. This is a very important part of our ethos.
