Double recognition for innovative work

The HealthRoster team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has been shortlisted for an Operational Roster Excellence Award and a Whole Workforce Model Award at the Allocate Awards run by NHS Employers. HealthRoster is a piece of employee scheduling software which enables the planning and rostering of staff rotas.

The national, prestigious Allocate Awards celebrate and reward those who have made a difference, to patients, colleagues, their entire organisation, or to the wider NHS through technology and new ways of thinking.

The HealthRoster team, led by Gemma Dunning, Head of HealthRoster, has been shortlisted for these awards for their work in the development of new Operational Rostering practices, procedures, dashboards and overall support which have ensured that the hospitals are leading the way in rostering. The team have also implemented a Whole Workforce Model which has introduced rostering across all staff groups to ensure consistency and transparency across all systems.

Gemma and the team have worked hard to overcome challenges, provide training and introduce new practices to ensure that this vision was a success.

Gemma said: “We are all so pleased to have been shortlisted for two Allocate Awards this year. The work that we have been doing has been a huge team effort and being shortlisted is fantastic recognition for everybody.”
