Digital solution proactively manages the lateral flow testing process

A simple and secure solution

Liaison Group, in partnership with Infinity Health, are delivering a digital solution to not only capture COVID-19 self-testing results from NHS staff, but to proactively manage the process.

As lateral flow testing is being rolled out nationally for the NHS, a number of trusts are now using the solution to digitise their lateral flow testing process and benefiting from real-time reporting, a robust mechanism, and consistent approach with a simple and secure solution, that produces the outputs that Public Health England (PHE) requires.

The power of digital task management

Through the power of digital task management, the solution reminds staff to submit results using QR codes and tracks areas where no results are being submitted so that they can be followed up, automates the manual processes around PHE and sitrep reporting, as well as managing the next steps for positive and invalid results.

This drives high completion rates for trusts and provides immediate information for infection control teams. The solution will also be able to be used to upload PHE returns, collate staff records and provide intelligence and reporting, and manage LAMP testing and vaccinations.

Consistent, flexible, and quick and easy to deploy

By digitising the lateral flow self-testing process, Liaison Group and Infinity Health aim to help relieve current pandemic pressures, maintain capacity and support continuity in the face of COVID-19.

Following a consistent process to minimise the problems of a manual paper-based process, and even online forms, is key to gaining effective real-time reporting and producing the outputs that Public Health England (PHE) requires on a weekly basis.

The digitised solution can also be automated and will capture additional data that is not a PHE requirement, such as ethnicity, as well as being used as reporting for infection control.

The tool, delivered using the Infinity platform, is easy to deploy with no need for passwords, training or integration and it can be set up quickly with minimum fuss.

It works via email or text, desktop or mobile, accessible on all devices, using only a few clicks, with rich reporting capabilities for ward, location, trust, ICS and region.
