1 in 3 young people who offend have an unmet mental health need.
More importantly, 2 in 3 young people do not have a diagnosis but, due to the complexity of the challenges in their lives, have high level mental wellbeing needs which prevent them from having fulfilling futures. Things like believing they are worthless; not having the confidence to apply for a job and/or struggling to take public transport because they don’t have the planning skills to work out a route.
At MAC-UK we spin mental health on its head by taking interventions out of the clinic and onto the street.
