To celebrate International Children's Day , Skills for Health and National Skills Academy for Health will be highlighting the vital role that support workers play in delivering paediatric care.

Working in partnership with leading children's hospitals from across the UK, the week-long campaign will showcase the significant contribution that support workers make to a child's care and encouraging the public to say 'thank you'.

The Healthcare Support Workforce-  Did you know that 40% of the 2.1 million people who work in the UK health sector are support workers?

These roles are critical, ensuring that hospital and healthcare practices around the UK continue to run efficiently and effectively, yet they often go unnoticed.

You can view more information about the campaign here: www.skillsforhealth.org.uk/ourhealthheroes and join in on the conversation using hashtag #OurHealthHeroes on Twitter and Facebook.

Please share and make the UK aware of the fabulous work non-clinical staff make to the difference in paediatric care.
