This service is available weekdays from 10am to 4.30pm.
Any emotional wellbeing or mental health issue can be discussed through the live chat and all conversations are dealt with sensitively even if not relevant to onwards sign-posting and information.
The main purpose of the service is to facilitate a referral directly to the relevant mental health services.
CAMHS Live is accessible via a link on Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust website.
From here a ‘live’ and private online conversation can take place with a fully trained CAMHS Mental Health Worker – www.nhft.nhs.uk/CAMHSLive
The 54 live interventions that have taken place between the launch of the service on 30 May 2017 to 27 June 2017 means that for these parents/carers and young people they have been able to access information, help and support for themselves, which will have also reduced the number of times they have had to tell and repeat their story, improve access and prevent any possible deterioration in their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
To date there have been 10 facilitated self-referrals to the RMC specifically for emotional wellbeing and mental health and the referrals have been made to CAMHS and youth counselling services
