Domiciliary visits seem routine in this service and that is very helpful for Mum, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in April and Dad who has sight and hearing loss. Sandra established rapport with both my parents straightaway, and I felt reassured too.
On top of that, today Sandra gave me a follow-up call, which included moral support for me as well as advice on our next steps for Mum. She followed that up with an email, tailored for our needs and situation.
I've looked at the NHS England guidelines https://www.england.nhs.uk/storage/memory-clinics-final.pdf, which I am sure are thorough, but somehow they don't convey the key thing that Sandra delivered yesterday and today: understanding, a sense of safety, practical options.
