Focus will be on evidence that demonstrates proven innovation in practice within delivery of anticoagulation services that benefit patients and the NHS while also evidencing implementation of NICE guidance, Quality Standards and patient-centred care and outcomes.
The awards will be judged by a panel representing providers, commissioners, expert clinical leads from cardiac, stroke and haematology, primary, secondary and community based clinicians and pharmacists, patients, leading advocates and policy makers.
The category winners will receive a certificate and a bursary of £1000 to assist with the development of continuous improvement and the dissemination of their work.
These prestigious awards will be presented by Andrew Gwynn MP in the Terrace Pavilion, Houses of Parliament on October 11th 2017 with invited guests including MPs, representatives from NHS England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, NHSi and leading policy making groups.
