A message from our #FabSocialCareStuff instigators - the rationale behind this new collaboration

A message from our #FabSocialCareStuff instigators - the rationale behind this new collaboration featured image
Three of us work in Herefordshire with very different roles in health and social care. Between us we have much clinical and management experience. We also have our feet very much on the ground!

Like many people working in health and social care, our roles traverse the borders between these parts of the system. We have been impressed by the positive and pragmatic note struck by the Academy of Fabulous NHS Stuff. We are encouraged by its approach and believe that there is just as much enthusiasm, innovation and passion in social care.

imagePeople's problems aren't confined to one or other part of the (very complex!) health and social care system. We thought: 'Why not use the NHS Academy approach for social care challenges, too?' When we compared notes, we found that we all believed that this would produce just as many, if not more, great ideas.

When we approached Roy Lilley and Terri Porrett, they shared our enthusiasm and encouraged us to develop the idea. This is the result. We have every confidence that there will be just as much engagement with this as with the NHS initiative. Over to you!' Best wishes
