Sunderland are rapidly expanding their Luscii project which is a digital health and wellbeing project supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Sunderland.

In response to Covid, the team have secured further funding to be able to loan iPad's to patients with preloaded apps.

This includes the Luscii health applications that allow patients to monitor their vital signs, complete health questionnaires and have a video call with their nurse or social care team.

The apps can also be loaded on to a patients own device. The iPad also allows people to connect with their families using

facebook, access the digital local library for books and magazines, enable them to visit their doctors surgery website to complete digital consultations and order repeat prescriptions and find out about local services from Sunderland City Council in addition to some fun apps to keep people entertained.

A digital virtual hub has been set up at Leechmere staffed by clinical and council team members to be able to reach out to people using digital to reduce down face to face contacts and support the covid fight -
